Why we stuck with Laravel

Published: September 10, 2026

We are officially listed as a Laravel partner.

For Metadeck that is more than a logo on a page. We have been building with Laravel for about ten years. In that time plenty of shiny new frameworks have arrived. We stayed put for a simple reason: Laravel is business-friendly.

Not just a framework

It is the ecosystem as much as the code. A lot of the boring, important work is already handled for you. When you need to go further, you can still build something completely custom. That combination is rare.

We still ship highly customised web applications. Laravel does not stop that. It just lets us do it quicker and in a more structured way. For getting a serious product off the ground, there is no better framework in web development in our experience.

Built for real teams (and for AI)

From day one, Laravel has taken documentation seriously. That matters when you are onboarding people, handing work between teammates, or coming back to a codebase six months later.

It also matters now that AI coding and code generation are part of everyday delivery. An opinionated framework is a gift for models: they are not left questioning every folder name or inventing random files. The recent Laravel AI package is a good example of that same mindset: opinionated, useful structure out of the box. You can stand up agents for different use cases and give them access to the tools they need, without bolting on a fragile custom stack first.

We used that kind of approach on work like the Mel AI assistant case study. The pattern is the same: clear structure, clear boundaries, then ship.

They came to us

There was no application to become a Laravel partner. The Laravel team got in contact after seeing our work over the years. That felt like an honour.

We are proud of the team and of the projects we have shipped on Laravel. Glad we stuck with it. Onwards and upwards.
